Anne Kraemer Diaz

Anne co-founded Wuqu’ Kawoq in 2006 and has served as our Executive Director since 2009. Her passion is building high-impact, collaborative, and culturally and linguistically appropriate health and development programs in Guatemala. Anne trained as a cultural anthropologist at the University of Kansas, where she received her master’s degree and did doctoral coursework. She was the recipient of a Fulbright scholarship in 2007 to examine the relationship between rural Guatemalan communities and the NGOs that serve them. Anne lives in rural Guatemala with her husband and two beautiful daughters. She speaks Kaqchikel and Spanish.

Anne era un cofundador de Wuqu ‘Kawoq en 2006 y ha sido Directora Ejecutiva desde 2009. Su pasión es la construcción de programas de salud y desarrollo de alto impacto que son colaborativo,  culturalmente y lingüísticamente apropiados en Guatemala. Anne se formó como antropóloga cultural en la Universidad de Kansas, donde recibió su maestría y realizó cursos de doctorado. Recibió una beca de Fulbright en 2007 para examinar la relación entre las comunidades rurales de Guatemala y las ONG que las sirven. Ana vive en Guatemala rural con su esposo y dos hermosas hijas.
