Jaqueline is a delightful 5 year old girl who was born with congenital cataracts – meaning both of the lenses in her eyes were very cloudy. When we first met her over a year ago, she could barely see shapes and shadows, to say nothing of attend school, learn to read, etc.
We are happy to report that, thanks to the generous support of one of our doctors (Dr Ty), Jaqueline has now received surgery to correct her cataracts. Although the surgery in her right eye was not successful, she can now see perfectly well out of her left eye. She also got a cool pair of purple glasses!
She starts school in the fall.
