Over the weekend we met a few expats who live in San Antonio Palopo who have organized a impromptu pumping station
to remove water from the lake and chlorinate it. They have a capacity of about 4500 L per day. They also reported that around the
community they are already seeing outbreaks of diarrhea and are worried about the buildup of sewage.
We also learned of the efforts of Amigos del Lago to use their water purifying station in Cerro de Oro to distribute water
around the lake as able.
